Monday, 1 August 2005 This is an genuine original shin hanga Japanese woodblock print by Kawase Hasui, titled "Washington Monument, and dated 1935 . The print is sealed and signed in sumi at the lower left corner. The print was published by Watanabe Shozaburo. The edition on this print was 300. The print is in fine (pristine) condition. Excellent impression, color registration, and bleedthrough. No foxing, toning, folds or creases. The print is not trimmed or setdown. There is woodgrain visible in the upper right portion of the print indicating a very early copy. Print size is 10.25" x 15".
