Beschreibung:
The female dancers wear flower-hats (hanagasa). The male musicians are depicted playing a small shoulder drum (ko-tsuzumi) and an open side-blown flute (yokobue). Female musician play brass cymbals (chappa) and the stringed spike-box lute (shamisen) picked with a bachi. The woman dressed as a courtesan, with the bow of her sash tied in front, plays a kokyu, a long-necked string instrument played upright with a horsehair bow. The sail of the ship is emblazoned with the crest of a Japanese crane, a symbol of longevity.
