Beschreibung:

A beauty holding a hagoita (battledore), a game similar to badminton played on New Year's by girls and young women. She is pictured before pines and a shimenawa (sacred twists of rice straw rope) created for the New Year to banish the old year's evil spirits and get a fresh start.
