After numerous young women went missing, fabled warrior Minamoto no Raikō (also known as Minamoto no Yorimitsu) and his Four Guardian Kings tracked down the demon-ogre, Shuten-Dōji, responsible for the abductions. In this scene at a mountaintop temple, Yorimitsu and his men (foreground) are preparing a sake-like elixir to subdue Shuten-Dōji before killing him.
