Monday, 25 June 2007 Seiho's Animals of the Zodiac- This series is definitely Seiho's most famous. The prints are a wonderful example of his unique style and unique representation of animals of the zodiac. Beautifully drawn, and in an extra large wood block print format, these fantastic Seiho works are exceptional treasures. Collect from this very rare series. Comments- In a terrific, charming print of a sleeping boar near grasses, a village in the distance. Artist- Seiho Takeuchi (1864 - 1942) Image size- 15 1/4" x 21" Condition- Excellent color and detail. This print is not backed. Some light wrinkling as shown. Would make an excellent display.
