Friday, 19 November 2010 Offering a framed original Ohara Koson Woodblock print on fabric showing Three Geese and Moon. I'm not sure of the proper title for this print inasmuch as my limited research has failed to locate a similar print. The print including the cloth border measures about 23 1/4" by 18 1/4". The total wood frame size is 25 1/4" by 20 1/4" . A signiture and seal mark is found on the print. The photos also show the cloth border. I recently pruchased this from a local Michigan estate. The rear wooden backboard appears older, and with my limited knowledge am concluding that this print is earlier. I would recommend reframing with an archival backboard. Condition: There is no foxing, rips or tears. There is some slight wrinkling in the fabric which can probably be resolved with re-framing. Overall, this print appears to be in very good condition. There is a small indentation (barely noticeable pinpoint) in upper left area which does not appear to have penetrated the cloth (see photo.) The wood frame is in very good condition with minimal chipping on the corners and top rear edge. This is a very interesting print in very good condtion.
