Monday, 24 July 2006 Hello Ross, Well, I don't have good news at all. Taking your advice, I started to take the prints out of their frames and matting. However, not realizing what they did and thinking that the matting was stuck to the backing due to age, I tried to carefully pull the backing and matt apart on one of the prints. Unfortunately, I found out too late that they had heavily glued the matting to the print and I am pretty sure the print to the backing also. I am so very sad about this outcome. I will now put the one back together and will continue to display them both as beautiful art (without value). I have attached a photo of the Saito watercolor print anyway… it is not a very high res and there is a little distortion in the photo but at least you can what it looks like. It is quite beautiful and hauntingly serene… it is really too bad they glued them both.
