Artist Kokan Title Lake Ashi in Hakone Series Gendai Tokaido Gojusantsugi no uchi ? Present Day 53 Stations of the Tokaido Date 1930 Publisher Watanabe Shozaburo Format Oban (15" X 10 1/4"). Series and print title in upper right margin. Comment Bannai Kokan painted a series of 53 Stations of the Tokaido in 1927. Three of the designs (Hakone, Nihonbashi and Nagoya Castle) were issued as woodblock prints by Watanabe in 1930.
