Monday, 17 November 2008 Yanagi Bridge in Snow from the a series of Lantern Shaped prints by Kawase Hasui. Original Japanese woodblock print circa 1930s. Fine condition. Print has not been framed and retains original colors. Red Hasui seal in lower right of image. Print measures 7.7 x 5.2 inches. Good texture and ink bleedthrough on fine wahsi. Nice blind printed contour lines. Compare to HI-1 in Vol. 1 page 152 of the Hotei catalog.
