This print is authentic, not restrike or reproduction. I guarantee it. This print was created by Shiro Kasamatsu (1898-1991) Here is “Town of Shimoda”, one of great prints published and printed by Watanabe in 1938, print has Kasamatsu red seal and his signature on the right corner of the image. Also has Watanabe “C” seal on the right margin. Printed in very light “aizuri” (blue color combination) like many of his early, prewar prints. It’s one of the best designs of the artists. Oban size 15 1/2" by 10 1/2". Fine impression, good color , bleedthrough and registration, just has one pinhole on the left margin (it’s needed for aligning by printing process).
