Beschreibung:

Colour woodblock print, oban diptych. The kabuki actors Matsumoto Koshiro V as the palanquin bearer Jinbei (‘kagokaki Jinbei’), standing with a straw mat on his back to protect him from the rain, and Bando Mitsugoro III as Minami Yohei standing clutching his sword; in the play ‘Dekiaki Hachiman matsuri’ (alternate reading ‘Dekiaki yawata matsuri’) by Katsu Hyozo I (Tsuruya Nanboku IV), performed at the Ichimura-za in the 8th month of 1810.
