Woodblock diptych print, oban tate-e. A scene from the kabuki play 'Ichidai banashi'. The kabuki actor Sawamura Sojuro V (l) as Kiyoshichi on his knees holding a cloth and Nakayama Bungoro (?) as the maid O-ura standing behind him, Bando Shuka (r) as O-kaji, the wife of Danshichi, standing and holding a tobacco pipe with Nakayama Bungoro as the servant Denpachi in a striped robe kneeling behind.
