Woodblock diptych print, oban tate-e. A scene from the kabuki play 'Kotoba no hana momiji no sakari'. The kabuki actor Seki Sanjuro as Hantoki Kurobei (right) standing and holding up a tobacco pipe, seated behind him is Bando Shuka I as Ko-ito, Nakamura Utaemon IV as Honcho-maru Tsunagoro (right) seated with his right arm extended to Nakamura Bungoro in an unidentified role who sits behind him.
