Colour woodblock print, oban. The kabuki actors Bando Hikosaburo III as Kudo Suketsune and Ichikawa Omezo I as Goro Tokimune, both grasping their swords as they confront each other, in the play ‘Hatsudayori Horai Soga’ performed at the Nakamura-za in the 2nd month of 1808.
