Beschreibung:

"O'i-gawa Hoko Watashi" ("Crossing O'i River on Foot"). The O-i river was one of the large, dangerous river which often flooded. The river porters carry travellers on the shoulders or a wooden platform charging various amount of fees. The area is near Shimada on the Tokaido 53 stations. Two sheets from a triptych.
