Second Lieutenant Ueda helped an injured enemy soldier during a battle. The Russo-Japanese war woodblock prints were not produced as many as the Sino-Japanese war prints. By then, the woodblock prints for the purpose of news reporting were largely replaced by other mass-production methods.
