The series of "Hyoryu kidan Seiyo Kabuki". (The Strange Story about Being Adrift on the Sea to Europe and America) Act 2, the scene in the USA: Shimizu Mihozo (left: Ichikawa Danjuro), a ship-wrecked Japanese fisherman, and Kiyomi's daughter, Wakaba (right; holding a small parasol: Sawamura Hyakunosuke) are talking with the rich and influential Akizu Takeshi (top right: Nakamura Sojuro) and his wife (Iwai Hanshiro).
