Snow covered country house in a heavily snowing day. White "gofun" splashed for the snow. Gold pigment illuminates the small lamp hanged under the eaves. Very finely produced and exquisitely printed. Shunkyo was a very revered Nihon-ga artist who incorporated the Western painting and photography to the traditional Maruyama-Shijo style paintings. His works reside in numerous museums in Japan and in the world.
