"Tansei Ippan" (A Part of the Whole Thing in Light Watercolors) Volume 2 of 5. Sketches of natural things such as birds, flowers, animals and landscapes in sumi ink and light colored wash. Katei was a noted Nanga painter whose paintings were shown at the Vienna Exposition in 1873. He was also a member of the Art Committee of the Imperial Household.
